Naples Airport signs ACI Europe “Net zero Carbon Emissions by 2050” Resolution together with another 194 European airports.
Last 26 June, during the course of its 29th Annual Conference and General Assembly held in Cyprus, ACI Europe announced the adoption of Resolution NetZero2050, in which the European airport industry commits to becoming net zero for CO2 emissions under its control by no later than 2050.
Naples international Airport signed Resolution ‘Net Zero Carbon Emissions’, together with another 40 European airport management companies thus confirming its commitment to developing sustainable air transport.
The 194 European airports managed by the signee companies of the resolution are thus committed to reducing electric energy consumption from fossil fuels and utilizing renewable energy sources as much as possible. They also pledged to encourage the development of new technologies for the absorption of carbon monoxide from the atmosphere, in keeping with European Union environmental sustainability programmes for 2050.
